After Your $199 Facial Membership Visit: A 48-Hour Care Plan
By CRY-X Cryotherapy | October 15, 2026
Visiting us in Wesley Chapel for your 60-minute CryoFacial? Keep this page handy for the next two days.

The single most important rule after your $199 Facial Membership visit is this: keep your skin calm for 24 to 48 hours. That means no heavy sweating, no hot showers, no direct sun, no active exfoliants, and no full-coverage makeup right away. Your face is usually a little more reactive after a professional facial, especially if we did extractions, so a simple routine protects your results.
Quick reminder: Florida UV is no joke, even when it’s cloudy. SPF is non-negotiable after your facial.
The first 24 to 48 hours after your CryoFacial: the do’s that keep irritation down
If you do nothing else, do these two things: keep your hands off your face and keep your routine basic. Skin tends to look its best after a facial when you don’t “test” it with new products or extra steps.
For the next 24 hours
- Skip the gym, hot yoga, sauna, and anything that makes you sweat heavily.
- Avoid hot showers and steamy baths. Keep water lukewarm on your face.
- Hold off on heavy makeup. If you truly need something, keep it minimal and clean your tools well.
- Don’t pick at texture, flakes, or “purging.” Picking is how little bumps turn into dark marks.
- Stay out of direct sun as much as you can. Errands around The Shops at Wiregrass or The Grove are easier later in the day when the sun isn’t as intense.
For the next 48 hours
- Wear broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily, even if you’re mostly in the car.
- Avoid direct sun exposure and skip tanning completely.
- Don’t exfoliate. No scrubs, cleansing brushes, or peels.
- Pause active products: retinoids, AHAs/BHAs, and vitamin C serums. Your skin should feel calm before you bring them back.
- If your skin is easily reactive, a mineral SPF often feels gentler than a chemical one.
A lot of our Wesley Chapel members book evening appointments near the SR 56 and Bruce B. Downs corridor for a reason. It’s easier to go straight home, rinse, moisturize, and let your skin settle instead of rushing back into heat and sun.
Days 3 to 7: when you can ramp back up, and what still isn’t worth it
By day three, most people look and feel normal. That doesn’t mean your skin wants “everything” again. If you had extractions, your barrier can still be a little touchy for several days.
Our rule: if your skin is still pink, feels warm, or stings when you apply moisturizer, keep actives paused another day or two.
What to keep doing all week
- SPF every morning. Reapply if you’re outside, even for quick school pickup or a shopping run.
- Keep your pillowcase clean. It’s a small thing that helps a lot after extractions.
- Hands off your face, especially around the nose and chin.
- Drink water. It sounds basic, but skin usually looks plumper and calmer when you’re hydrated.
What to avoid a little longer if you’re breakout-prone
- Heavy oils and thick occlusive layers during the day if you clog easily.
- Trying new actives all at once. Add one back, wait a couple days, then add the next.
- Picking at “one spot.” That one spot becomes the spot that lingers for weeks.
A simple product routine that actually works after a $199 Facial Membership visit
You don’t need a 10-step routine to keep your glow. Right after a facial, “simple and consistent” usually wins. Here’s what we generally recommend for the first couple days.
Your 3-piece aftercare lineup
- Gentle cleanser (no scrubs, no “tingle”). Clean once at night. In the morning, a rinse is often enough if you’re not oily.
- Lightweight moisturizer that doesn’t burn when it goes on. If it stings, that’s a sign to simplify further.
- SPF 30+ every morning. If you’re sensitive, mineral SPF is usually the calmer option.
And if you’re busy, keep it realistic. A short plan is easier to follow around work, kids, and the normal Wesley Chapel schedule. If you’re in Land O’ Lakes, Lutz, New Tampa, Zephyrhills, or Dade City and you need to swing by to grab something you forgot, our team can help you keep it simple.

When to reach out to our Wesley Chapel team (and what’s normal)
Mild redness right after your facial is common, especially if we did extractions. It should steadily calm down. Some people also notice a little tenderness in areas that were congested.
Reach out to us if you notice increasing redness, swelling, worsening pain, oozing, or anything that looks like infection.
When you call or email, tell us your treatment date and what you’ve put on your skin since the appointment. We’ll help you troubleshoot fast.
"From the time I walked in to the time I left I felt so welcomed, they were professional yet friendly."
one of our first-time facial visitors
We keep things easy when you come in too. We’re kid friendly, pet friendly, wheelchair accessible, and we’ve got free parking. We also take card payments and digital wallets. Walk-ins are welcome when we have openings, but after a facial, we usually recommend scheduling so your timing is predictable.
